The Eagles started off strong when Vince Young hooked up with 2nd year wide receiver Riley Cooper for a 58 yard bomb that set up LeSean McCoy for a score early in the first quarter against the Patriots but after that, it was all downhill from there.
Well, the Eagles did manage to put up another three points before Tom Magnificent got into the zone, but it wasn’t enough to intimidate him from playing near perfect for the remainder of the game. Tom Brady led his team down the field for six more scores after trailing the Eagles 10-0 in the first quarter and five out of the six scores went for touchdowns. The Eagles were blowing coverage all game long, sacked Brady just once, and shot themselves in the foot when they had red zone opportunities. The game kept getting out of reach. Tom Brady capitalized on every chance he got and racked up serious stats as he threw for 3 touchdown passes with a 66 completion percentage and no interceptions against the Dream Team’s defense. BenJarvus Green-Ellis was no slouch either as he ran for 44 yards with 2 rushing touchdowns on the day. Brady was happy with his offense in week 12 and had this to say, “It was more balanced today. That’s how it needs to be. You have to run it. You have to throw it to everybody. We did a good job maximizing all the guys.” Meanwhile Eagles Head Coach Andy Reid wasn’t too happy with his offense and he got booed all game because of it, “The way we played, I can understand,” Reid said. Surprisingly, the Eagles fall to 4-7 with no hope of making it to the playoffs while the Patriots jump to 8-3 and maintain first place in the AFC East. The Patriots (8-3) travel back home in week 13 to take on the Peyton Manningless Colts (0-11).
